The favorites

Admit it. You have plants that are your favorites too.

I’ve learned to love certain plants in our garden because they behave so well, flourish abundantly and look so good. Here are some that I love:

Lamb's Ears (Stachys byzantina)

Lamb’s Ear (Stachys byzantina) grows on our hilly front garden, spreading beautifully and keeping erosion in check. I even love it in winter when it looks like dryer lint!

Grape Hyacinth

Grape hyacinth is another one of the plants on the front hill. After the crocuses, they are the first things to start blooming in the spring (we’re in zone 6b).

About Dianna Ott

Lydia Street is about an old house, a new garden and the adventures of the lovely and talented occupants, Dianna and Christe. We love our dogs; we love to cook; we love to garden; and we have too many house projects going on at the same time. We also have plenty of stories to tell.
