Tiny maple tree

Japanese maple (with spent tulips in foreground)

This little tree gets more beautiful each year. Only 18 inches tall and 30-40 inches wide, it makes a huge statement with its deep red leaves and graceful shape.

That fuzzy stuff under the tree is wooly thyme.

About Dianna Ott

Lydia Street is about an old house, a new garden and the adventures of the lovely and talented occupants, Dianna and Christe. We love our dogs; we love to cook; we love to garden; and we have too many house projects going on at the same time. We also have plenty of stories to tell.

  1. Love those trees! We lost ours during last year’s 100+ days of 100+ temps and a big drought in our area. Yours looks beautiful!!
