Who lives here?

Hi! We are Christe and Dianna and we live at Lydia Street.

We both love old houses and the challenges they bring. At our house we usually have several projects going on at once both indoors and outdoors. It keeps us crazy busy but happy.

The house is a 1920s arts and crafts style bungalow with three bedrooms, two and a half baths and an unfinished  basement. We’ve spent the last three years working on it inside and out but we have so much more to do! We can’t wait to show you the things we’ve done.

We’ve remodeled the kitchen and both bathrooms, painted the interior and (most of) the exterior and have rejuvenated the garden where we grow perennials and vegetables in our zone 6b environment.

We both have full-time jobs but gardening, cooking, canning and collecting are some of the activities that keep us out of trouble.  We’re most happy with family and friends at our dining room table and an open bottle of good wine.

Adia, ready to take on the world.

Sharing our home and life are two dogs, Adia and Piper.

Piper always looks like he’s asking “What do you want me to do now?”

Adia believes she is definitely the alpha dog of the house — little dogs seem to have the biggest personalities, why is that?  She hunts for birds and bunnies in the garden (and occasionally catches some – yuck!). Piper, on the other hand, is a laid-back 75-pound ball of fur (who sheds a lot).

Welcome to our adventures at Lydia Street.
